I am proud to state, that this set was made of recycled animal fur, namely, mink, with my own hands.
Let’s just generally look into a couple of aspects of wearing fur.
Is it ethical to wear natural fur?
My answer to this question is a very clear “YES”!
Fur is a responsibly produced, long-lasting, recyclable, and biodegradable natural material.
Contrary to activist claims, it is in the interest of farmers to ensure high standards of care for their animals; this is the only way to produce high quality fur. Strict regulations ensure that engangered species are never used for fur production.
Most furs are used in their natural colours, without dyeing, an important environmental consideration. Dyeing as part of clothing technology causes enormous environmental pollution in related areas.
Fur apparel can also be restyled as fashions change. This precious material can be used many times, due to it’s quality and exclusiveness.
After many years of use, fur will completely biodegrade. By contrast, most of today’s “fast fashion” is made with petroleum-based synthetics that do not biodegrade and leach micro-particles of plastic into our waterways every time they are washed – plastics now being found in marine life!
Animal fur represents the concept of slow and conscious Fashion, contrary to the current fast fashion, where items made of cheap materials are seen as one way objects with extremely short life cycles.
Due to the lack of degradability, they then pollute the nature, thus leading to extinction of whole species of animals! Is this cruelty-free?
Fur apparel is made by local artisans who maintain remarkable craft skills. This is, again, a very different concept from that of globalized apparel chains, producing redundant clothes and transporting them all over the globe.
Animal fur is thus a truly sustainable choice for those who really care about nature, animals and protection of environment.

Meine Antwort auf diese Frage ist ein ganz klares „JA“!
Pelz ist ein verantwortungsvoll produziertes, langlebiges, recycelbares und biologisch abbaubares Naturmaterial.
Entgegen den Behauptungen der Aktivisten liegt es im Interesse der Landwirte, einen hohen Pflegestandard für ihre Tiere zu gewährleisten; Nur so kann ein hochwertiges Fell hergestellt werden. Pelzbekleidung kann auch neu gestylt werden, wenn sich die Mode ändert. Dieses kostbare Material kann aufgrund seiner Qualität und Exklusivität vielfach verwendet werden.
Nach vielen Jahren des Gebrauchs wird Pelz vollständig biologisch abbaubar. Im Gegensatz dazu wird der Großteil der heutigen „Fast Fashion“ aus erdölbasierten Kunststoffen hergestellt, die sich nicht biologisch abbauen und bei jedem Waschen Mikropartikel von Plastik in unsere Wasserwege gelangen lassen – Plastik, das jetzt in Meereslebewesen zu finden ist!
Tierfell steht für das Konzept der langsamen und bewussten Mode, im Gegensatz zur aktuellen Fast Fashion, bei der Artikel aus billigen Materialien als Einwegobjekte mit extrem kurzen Lebenszyklen angesehen werden.
Aufgrund der fehlenden Abbaubarkeit verschmutzen sie dann die Natur und führen so zum Aussterben ganzer Tierarten! Ist das tierversuchsfrei?
Pelzbekleidung wird von lokalen Handwerkern hergestellt, die bemerkenswerte handwerkliche Fähigkeiten besitzen. Dies ist wiederum ein ganz anderes Konzept als das globalisierter Bekleidungsketten, die überflüssige Kleidung produzieren und in die ganze Welt transportieren.
Tierfell ist somit eine wirklich nachhaltige Wahl für diejenigen, denen Natur, Tiere und Umweltschutz wirklich am Herzen liegen.
